Partnerships with Parents

Our Nursery recognizes that the parents are the first teachers of a child. Nursery works in partnership with parents to meet the individual needs of their child.

Parents or guardians benefit from having access to live updates of their child’s activities on our nursery app. They can see activities that take place, upcoming events and other nursery news, as well as pay their bills online.

Additionally, verbal feedback is always given at the end of the day when parents come to collect.

Regular communication from nursery will ensure that parents or guardians are aware of the policies and routines of the nursery.

Trips and fun days

We organize fun days and small local trips on regular basis. Once a year we have annual family trip to the seaside.

At least once a term we invite parents to attend workshops. This is the time when parents can spend some time with the children playing games or taking part in craft activities.

Routine

Babies, who are younger than 1 year old, have their own individual routines developed by our staff and parents to ensure that routine at nursery is as close to the day at home as possible.

Older children’s routine is developed according to their ages. However, we always work with parents to ensure that children have smooth transitions from home to nursery. Ensuring that nursery routine complements home routines.

Inductions

Babies, who are younger than 1 year old, have their own individual routines developed by our staff and parents to ensure that routine at nursery is as close to the day at home as possible.

Older children’s routine is developed according to their ages. However, we always work with parents to ensure that children have smooth transitions from home to nursery. Ensuring that nursery routine complements home routines.

1st induction – 1 hour spent with parent and key person
2nd induction – 30 minutes spent with parent and key person followed by 1 hour spent with key person
3rd induction – 2 hours in the nursery without the parent, key person is present for this time
Most children usually settle by their 3rd induction. However, children are welcome to attend as many inductions as needed before they fully start the nursery.
